When I decided to dip my toe into the blogosphere, I thought it would be a cold and lonely place. Who would want to read the manic ravings of yet another unpublished writer other than my mother? Thanks mom! 🙂 With little expectations of followers, I set myself a personal challenge to blog three times a week. I honestly thought I would struggle to find something interesting to write about that often. I feared that I would fall flat on my face, but I decided I had nothing to lose. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to that inner voice of fear and stepped out on faith instead. One month and twelve posts later, I’ve learned so much about myself and about what I’m capable of. It’s boosted my confidence in ways I hadn’t expected. But the best thing about my adventure into the world of blogging has been meeting and getting to know all of you. It’s not a cold and lonely place. It’s filled with warm and amazing people who have given their time to read and support my ravings and ramblings. Thank you to each and everyone who has ever visited or commented on my blog. You are all truly awesome. Your support and kind words have meant the world to me. I hope I can be as supportive to each one of you as you have been to me and that my writing continues to inspire, inform, and maybe make you chuckle once in a while. Here’s to another month of blogging, writing, adventure, chocolate and making new friends.
Yesterday, I received the Appreciated Follower Award from the awesome Courtney Koschel. Thank you Courtney! Courtney is one of the most enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring writers I know. She’s always ready with a supportive word and lifts you up when you’re feeling like you want to quit. I love her blogs. I hope you’ll take a minute to check out her page. You won’t be sorry.
So, here are the rules for the award:

I have to give a special shout out to one of my first and most supportive followers, Vaughn Roycroft. Vaughn doesn’t have a blog I can link you to, but he’s an amazing writer. You can read his insightful comments, not only on my blog, but also over at Writer Unboxed. Thank you, Vaughn, for being a great friend!
Thank you all for following. I appreciate each and every one of you 🙂 What are some of your favourite book/author/writing blogs you follow?
You’re making me all misty, Heather. Seriously, right back at you. Appreciate the support and friendship. And, just so you know, I’ve had a lot of folks pushing me to start blogging myself; we were just talking about this over at Cathy Yardley’s Rock Your Writing site yesterday. I’m getting much closer to taking the leap. You’ve been a huge inspiration to me. You and many other great writers in the WU gang have been such a huge part of my writing journey, and I can’t thank you enough.
Looking forward to our blogging futures, (yours in a more immediate sense ;)) and to the rest of the journey. As Confucius says, it’s not the destination, but the journey that matters.
Happy Anniversary! As I was preparing a response to the award(thankyouthankthankyou), I realized that tomorrow, September 3rd is my two month blogiversary! I adore you, did I tell you that? I will be posting the response tomorrow, I hope you stop by and enjoy. By the way, thank you, not only for the award, but being a kindred spirit. Have a great weekend.
Thanks. 🙂
