Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful and productive week.I’m sure it’s been a long week. Here’s an Otterly Cute video to cheer you up. Nothing to do with writing, but perfect for a feel good Friday pick me up. 🙂
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETEY DIFFERENT!
I want to say a BIG thank you to Juliana Haygert for awarding me the versatile blogger award. I appreciate it and hope you know how awesome you are. If you don’t know Juliana, I hope you’ll check out her website and blog.
While I totally support paying it forward, I’m in a rebellious mood today, so I’m breaking some of the rules of the Versatile Blogger Award.
1) I’m supposed to thank the person who awarded me. (Totally! She’s awesome.)
2) I’m also supposed to tell you several interesting things about myself.  I think you know enough about me, besides, a girl has to have some secrets. If I reveal all, what’s to keep you coming back?
3)I’m supposed to pass the award to no less than fifteen other bloggers in hopes they will then promote my blog on their website. While I’m all for supporting one another, and am truly honoured that anyone would award me, and am happy to thank anyone who does on my blog, I don’t like the idea of the chain award where you have to pass it on to a set number of other bloggers. I don’t know, it doesn’t feel right to me somehow.
Instead, I will list some of my favourite blogs. Some of them you might already know, but some of them might be new. I hope you’ll check them out, only from the stand point that I think you’ll learn something or enjoy them. In return for the mention, I ask for nothing.  No thanks, no link backs, nothing. My recommendations come from the heart.
Thank you to all of my followers, those who have blogs and those who don’t. You have been my beacon of hope in my stormy writerly life. I can’t express my gratitude enough to each and every one of you. Weather you comment or not, you are welcome here.
Writer Unboxed: About the Craft and Business of Fiction- Seriously, if you’re a writer and you’ve never visited the blog, click now! It is one of the best blogs on writing you can find.
Nina Badzin: The Writing Life, Married Life, and Motherhood- Nina’s got a fantastic blog. She’s funny and knows her stuff.
Tymothy Longoria: Aspire No More- I first ran across Tymothy when he commented on one of my posts. I, in turn, checked out his blog. It’s awesome! He’s got real talent and he’s a super nice guy.
Tonia Marie Houston: Passionfind-Tonia is working on her first novel. She might be new to the scene, but she’s a fantastic writer. Her posts are inspiring and beautiful. She’s my soul sister, my kindred spirit, and a member of the hugs and chocolate writers support group.
Courtney Koschel: Finding my Muse- Courtney is a super supportive, awesome and talented writer. She, Tonia, and I are the three chocolateers. Hugs for all, and all for hugs. We clebrate the highs and comfort the lows of writing by handing out virtual chocolate. Her book reviews are great, and I love reading about her journey. I hope you do too.
We Heart YA: Celebrating Young Adult literature – If you love reading and writing YA, you’ll love this blog run by Kristan Hoffman, Stephanie Mooney, Sarah Wedgebrow, and Ingrid.
S Wesley Steam: Journeys in Steam- If you like steam punk, you’ll love this blog.
Cathy Yardly: Rock Your Writing- Cathy has fabulous info for writers.
Rick Wilcox: Caney Creek Texas- I love Rick’s blog. It’s a fantastic glimpse into 150 years of history of his family’s ranch. Rick is a natural-born storyteller. If you love history, stop by his blog and say hello.
Well, that’s my list, and I’m sticking to it. Sorry if I’ve forgotten any. I’m sure I have.
Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to check out those blogs.
I’m already familiar with many of those listed, and will, like Ladonna, check out the otters–oh, no wait, I did check the adorable hand-holders. I will check out the Others (and not the ones from Lost or the north side of the Westrosi Wall). 🙂
Have a great weekend, Heather!
