I wanted to check in with all of you to let you know I haven’t been abducted by aliens or fallen into a pit of rabid groundhogs. I’m still here, tucked away in my writing cave and only allowed to come out for chocolate breaks and the occasional book signing event. Between an international move, finishing Pretty Dark Nothing 2, and promoting book 1, life has been a bit overwhelming. My blog has suffered along with my social life. I wish I were superwoman, but I’m not. Believe me, having an invisible jet would save a lot of time and money traveling to events this summer. I can’t wait to tell you all about my first signing in Kansas City for the Romantic Times convention and update you on my next big event in New York City. Book Expo America is going to be awesome! But for now, you’ll have to be patient with me. I want you to know, It’s not you, it’s me. Deadlines are a priority and my editor is cracking the whip. Ok, back to my writer’s cave. See you soon!
yes yes! π progress for pretty dark nothing 2!!! YES! π Keep up the good work, and rest lots too! I want the story to be awesome π
Keep at it, Heather! You can do this! I was in the very same boat as you just a few months ago. Soon you’ll be able to breathe again. See the light at the end of the tunnel–and write toward it! π
P.S. Can’t wait to hear about RT. I’m desperately hoping to go next year. I have an ongoing love affair with New Orleans, so don’t think I can turn it down.
Thanks for the check-in! So glad things are going well. But be kind to yourself. ClichΓ© alert (but true): It’s a marathon, not a sprint!
